Magic Potion

This one I came up with when I first started babysitting.  In school they mentioned that salt water can help heal wounds, and then when babysitting there came a time when a child got hurt.  So I went to work creating a magic potion to help.

Ingredients:
1. Warm water (I felt it was more soothing than cold water)
2. Salt (don't add salt if it's an open wound.  Although it DOES help it heal, I have learned from personal experience that it stings, and does not help the "magic" work on a child with anything worse than a minor cut, scrape or scratch)
3. a little bit of soap (made sense to have something in there that would clean it)
4. a spray of perfume (to make it smell good, possibly a body spray and not your expensive stuff that kids don't always like as much anyways)
5. and if you have it, glitter or "pixie dust".  If you're going to buy some, the smallest kind is good.  And if you make it in front of the child, you only need enough to make them feel they're getting the real magic treatment.

Mix everything together with a finger or anything and apply when needed. :)

As a side note, if there's blood, I've learned that using a red washcloth or something dark enough so you can't see the blood on it is best.  When the kids see the blood on the towel that came from them, they automatically seem to think it should hurt more than it actually does, and more crying or screaming usually ensues.  But for all minor "boo-boos" I've found this magic potion works wonders on every kid I've babysat thus far.  You can keep a bottle if you prefer, already made and just get it out when needed.  It also helps when they ask for a bandaid and you are babysitting and can't seem to find any...  :)
