Alright, so some of my favorite books to sing to.
My favorite version of "The Wheels on the Bus": I will warn you- the wipers come off a little easy at times. I glued them on a few times. (They are just thin and look so enticing to pull). So we loved this book, but it's to read with supervision until they are older and know how to be careful with a book on their own.
We loved Raffi books. The two we owned were "Down by the Bay" and "Baby Beluga". "Down by the Bay" has fun rhymes. Like llamas eating their pajamas and a whale with a polka dot tail... you can make up others if you ever sing the song without the book. "Baby Beluga" was one of the first books we read to him. The pictures are great and it's a soothing melody. George loved it and I know I was reading it to him by about 3 months. It was always a favorite.
"Bear Snores On" is an unofficial one. There is no official song for it but Jon wrote one for it and would sing it to George. Even if you don't sing it, it has a nice rhyme and rhythm to it and George liked it when I started reading it to him (before Jon came up with the song for it).
"Twinkle, Twinkle, I Love You". So this one doesn't have an official song either, but it goes perfectly to.... "Twinkle, twinkle Little Star". We kept this in a drawer next to the bed for our bedtime books. We would sing each page as a verse to the common song "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". On the last page where there were no words we would sing the traditional song and just point to all the stars.
